Stress…The Gains Killer

Dudes the burden seems to only get heavier with each passing year.  Another kid, more responsibility at work, and there are infinitely more reasons I could list that pile up and make it tougher to reach our own personal goals.  

Each one of those things is a stressor, good, bad, or otherwise.  And each one of those contributes to the potential to overwhelm you.  They put you in a place that slows progress or worse yet halts it completely.  

So you have to manage those stressors.  Make sure you have the capacity to take on whatever is being asked of you and that it won’t stretch you too far.  Stretch goals are good but only if they actually do what they are intended to, growth through a stretch opportunity.  

They don’t serve you if you are already stretched and it breaks you.
