Rise and Grind, or Don’t.

If you follow the run of the mill fitness influencers on IG and other social platforms they’ll tell you to grind every day. Get up and hustle from the minute your eyes open to the minute your head hits the pillow.

That’s great for the 20 somethings out there with little in the way of responsibilities. Not so much for those that are juggling a family, work, and the many other responsibilities that come with being a functioning adult.

Don’t confuse that with an excuse to be a slug, I’m just saying that the hustle and grind mentality only works until it doesn’t. And eventually it won’t. Something will give.

I’ll admit though “Rise and Grind” does sound cooler than wake up, work hard for a few hours then be sure to relax and enjoy time with your family and tend to your adult responsibilities. Maybe I’m a little older and a little wiser or maybe I’m going to start yelling at kids to get off my lawn next.
