Find an Anchor

Are you working on changing some habits this new year, then find an anchor. I’ve talked about the idea of anchors before and they are immensely helpful when trying to develop new habits.

An anchor is an established habit that you already practice. Think about things like brushing your teeth, or brewing coffee in the morning. The idea is to then tie your new small habit to that one.

Looking for a few quiet moments to reflect each day, do it while the coffees brewing. Need to plan meals for the week, take a few minutes right after you brush your teeth.

Then as those new habits get engrained look to level them up. Eventually you can level up that meal planning to full on batch cooking with some of the same strategies.

It’s a slower process than the 12 blitz program but one that’s more likely to stick.
